Why do you have to provide an email address?

We have to verify a real email address before we can activate your account. Your activation information will be sent to you after you signup, so you can begin using your account. If you ever forget your password, we use your email address to send it to you again.

Although we don't have an official privacy policy, we promise your email address will not be used in any way that we wouldn't want our own used for. It won't be displayed on any public pages on this site, it won't be sold, and it won't be buried under a pile of spam. It will only be used if you click the 'forgot password' link, or if we need to contact you concerning a problem with your account.
